Employment Programs Improve your language skills, and get hired! Accounting & Customer Service Industry The Occupational Integration for Accounting and Customer Service course was designed by working closely with employers. This course will focus on the communication skills needed to successfully meet the employment requirements for the interview and within the position. (Upon successful completion of the course, the Bridges team will help students seek employment) ​ Students meet 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. for face-to-face language classes. 3 hours will be dedicated to language structures, 2 hours to pronunciation and speaking practice, and 1 hour of software review. Requirements: Knowledge in: Accounting and finance or Customer Service Google & Microsoft office Intermediate language level Resume This course will focus on: Technical vocabulary and jargon used in this industry. Communication strategies and formal language structures Summarizing and paraphrasing Negotiation and problem solving skills Formal emails and note-taking skills Reviewing of Software used by the industry ​ January - March 2024 Cost: $1200 + tax ​ Respite & Community Support Workers The Occupational Integration for Respite and Community Support Services program is for students who have a passion for helping people with different abilities. Through this course, students will prepare their language skills needed to successfully communicate with the client, families, and the community at large. (Upon successful completion of the course, the Bridges team will help students seek employment). Students meet three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) from 6:00 pm. to 8:00 pm. for face-to-face language classes. 3 hours will be dedicated to language structures, and 2 hours for pronunciation and speaking skills, and 1 hour of fluency communication practice. Requirements: Grade 12 diploma Resume Intermediate language level Once the student is registered: Take the online language assessment test Receive access to a language learning lab and other online materials Gain access to information about the industry ​ January to March 2024 Cost: $1000 + tax ​

Programs Bridges English Language School would like to provide the best learning opportunity to every person seeking to learn or improve their English Language skills. Each category was created hoping that it would meet the needs of different people regardless of their immigration status, or where they are in the world. Our flexible methodology requires a good internet connection, and the desire to learn! ​ ​ Anchor 1 General English Our General English course is for beginner and intermediate level students who need the language necessary to work within their professional background. The class focuses on all four language skills in an interactive, and student oriented approach. Each student will receive their own digital book, as well as access to different platforms for extra practice and homework. Conversational English The Conversational English program provides you with the pronunciation, fluency, and conversational skills to help you participate in any social environment. Topics include current events, ethical questions, and small talk conversations. All materials are included, as well as access to a digital platform for extra practice and preparation. ​ Work Integration Workshops The work integration workshop is for people who are looking for employment, but are not sure about what to expect. Our 4 day workshop provides students with 2 different resume approaches; how to modify your resume to the job you would like to apply for, and interview questions and how to speak to your skills and experiences. The last component to the workshop is a personal one-to-one mock interview session with feedback. English for Seniors The English for seniors program is focused on developing language through community building. This program allows the student to learn the basic every day language needed to integrate, make friends, and get to know different aspects of the city of Winnipeg. Classes are every Saturday morning from 9:00 to 1:00 pm. English Summer Camp The English summer camp is a week of summer activities geared towards second language learners who would like to learn specific language to be able to participate in a variety of local summer activities. The class meets and studies specific vocabulary and language structures, then head off to an event or excursion where they will practice what they learnerd.
